1940 – Stanisław Mazuś was born on the 7th November in Lublin.
1940 – 1954 – He spent his childhood in the colony of Połowy, between the village of Bystrzyca and Sobianowice (14 km from Lublin), at his grandparents’ house, Maria and Paweł Szalast.
1944 – He suffered from ophthalmia. Fortunately, he was cured by a doctor from a military unit quartering near the forest of Kozłowice near Lubartów.
1946 – The first solo performance at his uncle’s, Jan Szalast, wedding party.
1947 – Due to his grandma’s initiative, he got an accordion to satisfy his yearning for music. He played by ear melodies heard at the church, during various celebrations and others.
1954 – He passed the exam to the Secondary School of Visual Art Techniques in Lublin.
1959 – After having failed the secondary school final test, he moved to the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Zamość.
1960 – He passed the secondary school final test and took the entrance exam to the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
After having failed the entrance exam, he moved to Łódź and began to study at the Teachers College at the Faculty of Art Education under the supervision of Professor Henryk Plich.
1961 – He discontinued studies at the Teachers College and came back to Lublin to prepare for re-examination to the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
He passed the exam and began the studies at the Faculty of Painting, the studio of Professor Aleksander Rafałowski.
1962 – The studio mentioned above was taken over by Professor Andrzej Jurkiewicz.
1963 – He continued his studies in the studio of Professor Eugeniusz Eibisch.
1963-1966 – Additionally, he specialized in the field of:

the issues of mural painting in architecture with Professor Stefan Gierowski,
-
graphic art in metal techniques with Professor Andrzej Rudziński.
1965- He achieved the first prize award at the students’ exhibition in Warsaw.
1966-1967 – He acted as assistant at the Faculty of Graphic Arts to Professor Andrzej Rudziński.
1967 – He graduated from the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts with a very good rating and honours.

In a competition for the graduates of art schools, he was honoured with the Franciszek Bartoszek and Zygmunt Bobowski Award of the Minister of Culture and Art.

He participated in the Young Graphic Artists Festival in Bayreuth (Germany).
1967-2010 – He has taken part in numerous presentations of Polish art abroad : Ulan Bator, Moscow, Paris, Athens, New York, Prague, Berlin, Vilnius, Lvov, Bratislava, Vienna, London, Sofia, Leipzig.
He has had his solo exhibitions in galleries, the Fine Arts Exhibition Office and in museums in: Katowice, Tychy, Racibórz, Pszczyna, Częstochowa, Opole, Wrocław, Poznań, Zielona Góra, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Szczecin, Kołobrzeg, Koszalin, Szczecinek, Olsztyn, Sopot, Suwałki, Łomża, Białystok, Biała Podlaska, Rzeszów, Tarnów, Kraków, Nowy Sącz, Olkusz, Miechów, Wadowice, Zamość, Lublin, Lubartów, Puławy, Kielce, Radom, Łódź, Piotrków Trybunalski, Płock, Włocławek, Sieradz, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Kalisz, Piła, Bielsko -Biała, Mikołów, Gliwice, Warszawa, Sosnowiec, Nadrzecze near Biłgoraj, Krzeszyce, Sieraków, Szamotuły, Kętrzyn, Ustka, Siedlce, Bytom, Czechowice-Dziedzice and in Polish institutions abroad: Stockholm, Vienna, Sofia, Leipzig, Prague and New York in the gallery of “Nowy Dziennik.”
1968 – He moved from Warsaw-Anin to Tychy.

He became a member of the Union of Polish Artists and Designers - District of Katowice.

He began to participate in competitions, open airs and international, all-Polish and regional exhibitions.

He was granted one year Art Scholarship of the Ministry of Art and Culture.

He held the first solo exhibition in the exhibition pavilion of the Teatr Mały in Tychy.

He took part in the competition “V Wiosna Opolska” in Opole and got the second prize award for his painting and a distinction for graphics.

He participated in the international open air “Industrial landscape of Silesia” in Chorzów.

He received the first prize award in the graphic competition of the District Management of the Association of Polish Artists in Katowice “Man and contemporary world.”
1969 – He got the equal rank award for the painting Rural postman in the competition “Man and work” in the Central Office of Fine Art Exhibitions in the “Zachęta” gallery in Warsaw.
1970 – The solo exhibition of his paintings and graphics was held in the Fine Arts Exhibition Office in Katowice.
1970-1975 – He worked in the Tychy Catering Establishments as an interior designer.
He got the one-year Art Scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and Art.
1971 – He became a member of the All-Polish Realists Group exhibiting collectively in the “Zachęta” gallery in Warsaw.
1974 – He got a quarterly grant of the Trade Union FSM in Bielsko – Biała.
1975-1980 – He cooperated with the Mikołów –Jaworzno Coal Industry Union as an art designer.
1977 – He received the award of the President of Chorzów at the post open air exhibition Industrial landscapeof Silesia in Chorzów.
1979 – He was awarded a distinction at the All-Polish Painting Exhibition “Bielska Jesień” in Bielsko–Biała.
1980 – He got the second prize award at the Z.R. Pomorski All-Polish Painting Competition in Katowice.
1981 – He got the third prize award at the exhibition Silesian Uprisings in painting in Opole.
1982 – He got the third prize award and a distinction at the Z.R. Pomorski All-Polish Painting Competition in Katowice.
1983 – He received the equal rank award at the exhibition Polish Army in art painting in the “Zachęta” gallery in Warsaw.
1984 – He got a distinction at the All-Polish Competition “Kraków Nowy i Stary”(New and Old Cracow) in Cracow.
1985 – He got the equal rank award in the All-Polish Competition “Cracow in Painting, Graphics and Sculpture” in Cracow.
1986 – He was awarded the Regional Award in Katowice for the outstanding creative achievements in the field of painting.
1990 – He got the second prize award at the V Triennial “Presentation of the Contemporary Portrait” in Radom.
1990 -2003 – He acted as the Town Arts Supervisor in Mikołów and at the same time he laid the foundations for the international open air painting “Impresje Mikołowskie”(Impressions in Mikołów). He was the commissioner there between 1991- 1993.
1992-2004 – He ran the “Pittoria” art gallery “ in Tychy.
1995 – He got the second prize award in the “Landscape of Katowice” competition in Katowice.
2002 – He was awarded the title of Mikołowianin of 2002.
2003 – He initiated – together with Bożena and Jan Kukuczka – an annual cycle of the open air paintings under the name “ Beskidzkie Integracje Sztuki”(the Beskids ArtIntegrations) held in three villages : Istebna – Jaworzynka _-Koniaków.
2009 – He organized a cycle of open air paintings “Impresje świętokrzyskie” in Celiny , Raków commune.
